​So, today I'm sharing 7 ways to add silver to your home. 

7 Ways to Add Silver to Your Home

1. Silverware.  The first way is, perhaps the most obvious, and that is silverware.  Miss Mustard Seed shared how she uses her silverware everyday, and ever since then, I've wanted to start collecting this antique gem -Chrysanthemum by Durgin.  Silverware has everything to do with the dining table.
2. Candlesticks.  If you've been taking my home tours, you've seen my silver candlesticks. I found mine at a yard sale.  Candlesticks are a great accent on the mantle, but more importantly, in the well-appointed home, candlesticks are an essential part of the dining table. I have candlesticks in almost every room of the house.
3. A Vase.  I think every home should have a vase (my pic is the Victorian Rose Vase) to display fresh flowers, or faux, in the foyer or living room or any room for that matter. Also, a low silver bowl can hold a flower arrangement on the dining table as well.
4. A Tray.  Breakfast in bed, anyone?  I have a silver tray that I found at a Good Wills.  It is wonderful for serving my children breakfast in bed when they are feeling sick or when they win a "bet".  Sometimes I display the tray on my hallway antique wash stand.  In the well-appointed home, a tray was kept on the foyer table of which calling cards were placed.
5. A Frame.  I have a large mirror framed in silver that sits on my mantle.  A frame is such an easy way to bring silver into any room.  It can be as simple and personal as a picture frame sitting on your night stand or any style of art framed, even baby's room.
6. Tea Service.  Another thing on my "wish list" is a silver tea service.  More and more our family is enjoying afternoon tea, particularly peach herbal, right now.  I'd like to have a silver tea service on a tray to serve tea in the parlor (aka living room).
7. 2-Tiered Server.  Along with tea time, comes scones or little cakes, and perfect for serving those little delectables in an elegant fashion, is the 2-tiered server.  I have mine sitting on a round table in the parlor (aka living room).  

​So, there it is.  Seven ways to add silver to your home!  The reason I like silver is because it adds a touch of elegance, but again, I mix it with greenery and warm wood pieces to cozy it up.  Plus, when you purchase a beautiful silver piece, you are making an investment that will hold or increase in value.  ​I hope that gives you a few ideas for our own home.
